The Third United Kingdom general election was held on 16 January 2019 to elect 650 members to the House of Commons. The election saw modest gains for the Conservatives and modest losses for Labour, however no party was able to reach a majority, resulting in the third consecutive hung parliament. With government being created during this term, Enzo Liddell-Grainger of the Conservatives became the first Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, leading a coalition with the UK Independence Party.
