The President of the National Assembly (French: Président de l'Assemblée nationale) is the fourth-highest official in the Republic of France, behind the President of France, Prime Minister and President of the Senate, respectively. The President of the Assembly is tasked with chairing the sessions of that body, organizing the process of a bill becoming law, allocating speaking time to députés and managing debates. They also serve as representatives of the National Assembly to the President of France and internationally.
