Respublica Wiki

The Conservative Party, officially the Conservative and Unionist Party and colloquially known as the Tories, is a centre to right-wing political party in the United Kingdom Respublica. We welcome everyone and have only one aim: to create a world where everyone is accepted, where democracy is listened to. Join us to help the ordinary working people, and join our campaign for a more prosperous democratic country.

We along with our coalition partners are working for a better brighter United Kingdom. We believe the UK should be a beacon of democratic sovereignty and one of the most influential countries in the world, tackling the issues that matter most to our people through our actions at home and overseas. Since the Ninth United Kingdom general election, the party's Northern Irish platform is the Democratic Unionist Party which is essentially an off-shoot of the Conservatives and is included in its election results.

Under Viktor Svenska they achieved the worst seat count for the party in modern history. After a vote of no confidence, he was ousted a few days later. Under his successor, Margaret Thatcher (Later Tanya Chesham Leigh) the Tories formed a coalition that defeated the People’s First Coalition in the only time in history. It was later revealed the Tory coalition only succeeded due to ~22 "alt" accounts - most of which came from Hercules Poirot. She returned the party to democracy, not seen since the Tress Administration. After two months as leader, she resigned in favour of her deputy, Liam Allen.

What we stand for…

More Police on the streets

Health Care

The Conservative Party believes that all should have reasonable access to timely, high quality health care services, regardless of the area they live in the United Kingdom.

We will increase GP Surgery appointments each year. This will be done by recruiting 6,000 new doctors in General Practice.

We will recruit 50,000 new nurses and set up a grant for student nurses ranging from £5,000 - £8,000 for annual maintenance grants. They won’t need to pay it back.

We will also recruit 6,000 new primary care professionals, such as physiotherapists and pharmacists etc. Everyone will receive at least £5,000 with further funding in regions or disciplines that are struggling to recruit, such as mental health.

Education

The Conservative Party believes every child should have the chance to succeed in life. And that starts with access to a good school place no matter their background or where they live.

We want every parent to be confident that their children are getting the best start in life, one that will allow them to fulfil their potential and put them on a path to a brighter future.

The Conservative Party will increase the school funding, with those areas historically underfunded receiving the greatest increase.

We will invest more into apprenticeships outside of a college setting allowing more young adults to earn while they learn their ‘trade’.

Criminal Justice

The Conservative Party supports reorienting the approach to criminal justice and the policing system to give the highest priority to the protection of society through the prevention of crime. Additionally, we support emphasising the needs and rights of victims.

The Conservative Party believes the government has an obligation to strengthen the people of the UK's confidence in our legal system’s ability to judge dangerous offenders appropriately so that dangerous offenders will not be released until they are no longer a threat to society.

Rural Britain

The Conservative Party supports that agriculture, agri-food, fisheries, tourism, and forestry must be a priority for the government. We believe that the future sustainability of rural Britain comes through flexible, innovative policy, based on principles of realistic economic profitability.

The Environment

In order to have a strong economy and maintain good health, the United Kingdom must have strong, coordinated and achievable environmental policies. The Conservative Party believes that responsible exploration, development, conservation and renewal of our environment are vital to our continued well-being as a nation and as individuals.

The Conservative Party believes the government should promote alternative energy (such as wind, solar, geothermal), and transitional fuels (such as biodiesel, ethanol). The expense of assuring the security of traditional fuel sources and concerns over pollution makes the use of these energy sources necessary.
