The Cabinet Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs (Scottish Gaelic: Rùnaire a ’Chaibineit airson Cùisean Eadar-riaghaltais) is the liaison between The Scottish Government and the British Secretaries of Defence, Finance, and Foreign Affairs.
This position ensures that the voice of the quorum of Scotland is projected on issues that are reserved to the British Government and strengthens the relationships between the Scottish Government and the overall British Government by allowing a position to have a free voice that expresses central concerns that are pivotal to the growth of Scotland.
